Beware – one lick of JT’s ice cream is likely to trigger a rush of sweet childhood nostalgia. Named after its creator, Jonathan Tammara, JT’s is a delicious, playful and ever-evolving line of kid-friendly flavors. It’s sure to bring you back to your favorite moments in life.

How it all began.
In the early 2000’s Jonathan joined his father, Bob Tammara, at San Bernardo which had become a well-known ice cream food service distributor selling to restaurants, cruise lines and hotels. He saw a need for a line of classic and whimsical flavors that could be made accessible to a range of scoop shops across the country and thus came up with JT’s.

San Bernardo, once an old Cuban dairy company, came to the states in the 1950’s bringing “the old flavors of home” to the many Cubans residing in Miami. These popular ice cream parlors served monster five-scoop sundaes, seemingly bottomless batidos (Cuban-style milkshakes) and were packed with smiles and laughter. Jonathan had a vision for the modern-day scoop shop in JT’s – a place for families to gather, for kids to get piled-high cones and superman sundaes and parents to have their old childhood favorites as well as the traditional Cuban mangos and coconuts.
Quality at an everyday price.
Part of Jonathan’s vision was to service a range of scoop shops without compromising on quality. JT’s is a 10% milkfat ice cream that isn’t made with substitutes or light ice cream so it maintains a rich, creamy texture. It’s rBST- free and kosher. Raised Jewish, this was particularly important to Jonathan. It’s made in America and can be found in scoop shops from Florida to California and the Caribbean too. It’s now available in 3-gallon tubs for food service.

Classic and kid-friendly flavors.
The JT’s line initially introduced flavors including Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry, Rum Raisin, Butter Pecan, Pistachio, Mint Chip and Cookies & Cream. Over the years it has expanded to include on-trend kid necessities such as a perfectly pink Bubblegum packed with candy pieces, yummy yellow Cake Batter marbled with chocolate and a tri-color Superman.
Exotic flavors like Green Tea and Red Bean set JT’s apart and new flavors are regularly unveiled to keep the line fresh and exciting. The goal – to bring back the exhilaration so many of us felt upon entering our favorite childhood ice cream shop.
Nothing beats an ice cream smile.

Imagine a minty green chocolate flecked mound atop a sugar cone. A perfectly pink snowball beneath a mountain of whipped cream. A tall, fluted glass with a straw that screams milkshake.
We know that ice cream is more than a treat to the taste buds. A lick of JT’s brings back memories of running along a sandy beach, lazy summer nights strolling with family, last day of school celebrations, balloons, parties, vacations, laughter and shared spoons. Ice cream equals happiness. And JT’s is sure to deliver just that.
